Anthony Carhuayo AAS (’13)
Anthony transferred to the School of Visual Arts in NYC, where he is studying Graphic Design. His portfolio recently earned high scores, making him eligible for a scholarship.
Megan Donaldson AAS (’11)
After graduating, Meg Donaldson transferred to Mercy College where she majored in Graphic Design. She will be finishing up her degree at Mercy this May. While at Mercy, she landed an internship at Ideas on Purpose, and she recently received job offers from Vanguard and Black and Decker.

Vladimira Pipova AAS (’11)
Vladimira Pipova transferred to SUNY Purchase, where she is pursuing a BFA in Graphic Design.
Vladimira was also awarded a $1,000 scholarship as part of the SUNY Student Art Show in Albany recently. She was acknowledged for “Crimes Against Art” (above), a “three-part drawing about the Nazi confiscation of art during World War II.”

Philippe Safire is currently pursuing a career as a freelance multimedia artist.

Emily Shields is now working as a graphic and web designer at Words and Pictures
Gülgün Aliriza AAS (’02)
After completing her BFA at Purchase College (graduating Summa Cum Laude), Gülgün went on to complete an MFA in Painting at Western Connecticut State University. Gülgün has been exhibiting her work regularly in New York City galleries and was recently an artist-in-residence at the Vermont Studio Center. She is featured on the MOMA PS! Studio Visit website.
Noreen Torelli AAS (’11)
After graduating, Noreen Torelli transferred to Maine College of Art, where she is majoring in Illustration.
“I am an art student studying in Maine as an illustration major. My plan is to go into the publishing field after I get my BFA but my ultimate goal is to write and illustrate my own picture books. These picture books I hope will inspire kids of all ages to keep dreaming dreams that may seem impossible. Whatever the dream is that a person dreams of, I believe it is important to keep believing anything is possible. It keeps life more interesting that way.”
Pablo Bonelli AAS (date)
After graduating, Pablo Bonelli struck out on his own to become an independent filmmaker. As the co-founder of Humgoid Films, he has produced many short films, music videos, viral vids, sizzle reels, and even a feature film.
After completing his studies at WCC, Patrick Winfield has worked as a graphic designer, and has maintained an active career as an exhibiting artist.
Nicole Rutsch AAS (date)
After completing her degree, Nicole transferred to F.I.T., where she earned a degree in Adverting and Marketing Communications in 2009. After graduating she began working at Michael Frost Photography Studio, where she now develops and coordinates creative concepts for editorials and manages photo shoots.
While still enrolled in classes, Elsie Sampson launched a successful career as a zine artist, offering workshops in the making of zines at the Hudson Valley Center for Contemporary Art, and at the Asia Society in New York City. Currently, Elsie is is completing a degree in Art Education at Queens College.

Christine Knowlton’s film Going Blank won third prize in the 2007 Student Filmmakers International Student Film Festival Competition.
Aurelio Castaño AAS (date)
Since graduating , Aurelio Castaño has had an active career as a practicing artist, teacher, and activist in the Hispanic Community. A native of Colombia, Aurelio teaches in the “Artistico” workshop, a group of Hispanic artisans and painters co-sponsored by the Hispanic Resource Center and The Mamaroneck Artists’ Guild. Aurelio has shown his jewelry and paintings in exhibitions throughout Westchester County, and at the Museo del Barrio in NYC.
Darshana Patel AAS (date)
Darshana Patel transfered to the NYU Steinhardt School of Education at NYU ; she now works as an art teacher Reed Elementary School in Nevada
Carmen Acuna AAS (date)
Carmen Acuna transferred to SUNY Purchase, where she is now majoring in Graphic Design and Sculpture in the BFA program
Jason Scheurich transfered to F.I.T. and completed a degree in Interior Design. He now works as Associate Project Manager for Store Design at Michael Kors.
Marie Marcella transferred to the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, and now works as a freelance designer
Shannon Mosely transfered to Mercy College 2006, where she studied digital animation in the Computer Art program. She then went on to work for Consumer Eyes, a consumer product company, and now runs her own company Mosely Graphics.
Tunde Bektas transferred to the College of New Rochelle, and now works as an art teacher at Middletown High School
Mrs. Bektas has been teaching media art classes at Middletown High School since 2008. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in art education with a concentration in graphic design from The College of New Rochelle. She has graduated Magna Cum Laude with a teaching certificate in visual arts K-12. She has also completed her Master’s Degree with distinction in Educational Technology from the New York Institute of Technology. A national origin of Hungary, she has traveled extensively around the world to learn about different cultures and languages. In her free time she enjoys traveling, photography, visiting art galleries in New York City, walking her dog and reading.
Steffie Plomp transferred to F.I.T. and now works as a Textile Consultant and merchandiser at Fashion Linq.
After graduating from WCC, Eric Weyhausen transferred to the School of Visual Arts in New York. He now works as a professional cartoonist and has started his own company
