This end-of-term celebration of student talent and creativity showcases student work with a diverse range of style and subject matter. Along with student artwork, copies of International Voices, an annual journal of student writing and artwork, are available for taking in the gallery. This year’s edition was designed by Bozhena Shuplat.
For this non-juried exhibition, any student currently enrolled in course(s) at Westchester Community College was eligible to exhibit a single work that did not exceed 24” in any dimension. Students were required to bring works during specific times; student assistants Maria Claudia Diaz Hernandez, Isaiah Rivera, and Ana Pasquarelli helped with gallery preparation, artwork installation, and lighting in addition to keeping written records of students who exhibited their work. The exhibition signage was designed by Maria Claudia Diaz Hernandez, and all the assistants helped in drawing out the large logotype at the gallery entrance. Isaiah Rivera designed the sculptural installation for copies of International Voices.
The reception will readings from International Voices as well as light refreshments. All are welcome.
